Many carriers require pre-authorization for services. Prior to your first visit we will contact your insurance company to obtain authorization and determine the limits of your coverage. In some instances, if you have already received therapy in the same calendar year, your coverage may be limited or denied by the carrier. It is imperative that you inform the office staff of any services you may have received, including the location, duration and nature of treatment. Failure to process a claim due to incorrect patient information may result in your beign responsible for all outstanding charges.

Please note that some carriers require a “referral” in order to consider the claim for processing. Your primary care physician typically issues this referral, even if a specialist sent you to therapy. Please realize that a "referral" is different from a “prescription” or “script” which is the actual written order from the physician that is required by New York State law.
