Dennis is a 1975 graduate of Orchard Park High School. Following graduation, he enrolled at Ithaca College where he received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1979.

In 2005 Dennis completed his Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Daemen College.

Dennis is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of Spinal Disorders by the McKenzie Institute and has completed an extensive list of advanced education courses.
